This is the Lincoln Memorial. The inscription above Lincoln reads "In this temple, as in the hearts of the people for whom he saved the Union, the memory of Abraham Lincoln is enshrined forever." The wall on the right has an inscription of his Second Inaugural Address, and the wall on the left has an inscription of his Gettysburg Address. (You can't see them from this picture, but they're there.) Also, we have no idea who that guy is. I don't know if he was posing for us, or if someone was taking his picture at the same time we took ours, or if he just happened to be standing that way, but he seems to be pretty photogenic! ;-)
